Our Process

Inspection Process

A clear and consistent process is essential to deliver accurate and reliable results. Each inspection is performed with a structured approach designed to provide a thorough evaluation while maintaining efficiency and clarity throughout the process.

Scheduling

Inspections can be scheduled directly through our booking system or by contacting our office. Once scheduled, you will receive confirmation details along with the appropriate inspection agreement for review and signature prior to the appointment.

Payment is typically collected at the time of booking to ensure a streamlined process.

On-Site Inspection

The inspection consists of a visual, non-invasive evaluation of the property in accordance with the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. Readily accessible systems and components are assessed, with a focus on identifying material conditions and documenting observable deficiencies.

Inspection time will vary depending on the size, age, and condition of the property.

Clients are welcome to attend the inspection. While not required, attending can provide additional context and allow for discussion of findings in real time.

Documentation

Findings are documented throughout the inspection process using written observations and supporting photographs. The objective is to provide clear, structured information that accurately reflects the condition of the property at the time of inspection.

Advanced tools, such as thermal imaging or aerial equipment, may be utilized when applicable to provide additional insight.

Report Delivery

A detailed inspection report is typically delivered within 24 hours of the inspection. The report is organized to clearly identify observed conditions, areas of concern, and items that may require further evaluation.

Reports are designed to be easy to navigate, allowing clients to quickly understand key findings without unnecessary complexity.

Follow-Up

Questions following the inspection are expected and encouraged. Clarification can be provided regarding report findings, and additional guidance can be offered when further evaluation by licensed professionals is recommended.

Additional Services

When applicable, additional services such as wind mitigation inspections, four-point inspections, thermal evaluations, or aerial inspections may be coordinated alongside the primary inspection to provide a more complete understanding of the property.

Certain specialized services may be performed by qualified third-party professionals and coordinated as part of the overall process.

Standards of Practice

Inspections are performed in accordance with the current Standards of Practice established by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). These standards define the scope and limitations of a residential inspection, including what is inspected and how the inspection is conducted.

Clients are encouraged to review these standards to better understand the inspection process and its limitations.

Approach

Each inspection is performed with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and clarity. The objective is not simply to complete an inspection, but to provide a structured and well-documented understanding of the property.
