4-Point Inspection

A Four-Point Inspection is a focused evaluation of four primary systems within a property: roofing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This inspection is commonly required by insurance carriers, particularly for older homes, to assess the general condition of these key components prior to issuing or renewing coverage.

The inspection consists of a visual, non-invasive assessment of readily accessible areas and is limited to the condition of the following systems:

The purpose of this inspection is to document the observable condition and apparent age of these systems at the time of inspection. It is not a comprehensive home inspection and does not evaluate all components of the property.

Findings are documented on the standard inspection form required by insurance carriers and may include supporting photographs for underwriting review.
